Founded in 2014 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Energy Equity to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Asset Management services to in-house developed solar projects, ESS is now one of the premier renewable energy service teams in the nation, and as of January of 2021, the company operates as an independent entity. With current operational oversight in 13 states and greater than 130 megawatts under contract, ESS is prepared to give you the support you need to make your investment in clean energy a lasting one.

Our core purpose is to provide exceptional and cost-competitive ownership oversight of solar projects, driving rapid individual and industry-wide growth trajectories across the United States. Using a combination of data-driven and field knowledgeable approaches, we will ensure that your solar PV system operates at its full potential throughout its lifetime.

Our monitoring and asset management teams are located in Annapolis, Maryland while our field technicians live in the vicinity of our Minnesota portfolio and are prepared for constant travel for preventative and corrective maintenance needs. As a member of the Amicus Solar Cooperative Network, we partner with the O&M community to provide corrective maintenance work around the United States.
