PV Solar Installer Crew Member

GreenSpark Solar’s PV installers are responsible for supporting the Crew Lead in all aspects of PV project installation. The correct candidate is comfortable working with a team, around heavy equipment, and carrying weight on roofs and ladders at all heights in order to install high quality, photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings/schematics and instructions. Our PV installers have strong technical problem solving and interpersonal skills. All of our employees take pride in representing our company and culture in the best light to our customers, community and vendors. Work largely consists of:
Roof penetrations, mounting rail systems, wiring panels, installing panel onto rails
Installing conduit between solar arrays and inverter box
Installing inverter box and related electrical interconnection

Positive Attitude - A positive attitude and a passion to create a better future for our neighbors and our communities. This is not just a job!
Experience - A background in PV installation, electrical, construction or roofing experience preferred, but not required; hands-on mechanical skills are a must, to include proficiency with hand and power tools.
Communication – The ability to listen critically, follow directions and designs, and interact with team members and clients to accomplish project goals efficiently.
Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
Information Ordering and Attention to Detail - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules; to assist in keeping shared tools organized and the working space and job site clean and orderly.
Physical Strength - The ability to lift up to 75 pounds on the ground and carry up to 45 pounds up a ladder.
Transport - Reliable transportation to the work site or a plan for commuting; and a clean driving history.
Working Conditions - Prepared for outdoor work in all weather conditions; comfortable working on roofs, ladders, in attics, basements, and excavation sites; OSHA knowledge
Outward Facing – The ability to communicate the company’s brand and culture with our clients, the public, vendors, and inspectors.
Flexibility – The ability to work flexible hours based on changing conditions.
Passion - Possess a passion and enthusiasm for bringing renewable energy to our neighbors and communities.
Desire - A burning desire to not just work but work to create a more sustainable future with a dedicated team of amazing people.
