Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a motivated and self-starting individual to join their growing installer team.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with and enforce all OSHA safety rules and protocols for the company. Promote job site safety, ensure safe work practices, and rectify job site hazard.

  • Perform work to BSW standards.

  • Responsible for being familiar with electrical aspects of BSW systems

  • Communicate with the crew lead and rest of the team on the day's activities, progress and success.

  • Report to crew leads to any issues that arise during installation.

  • Work variable hours.

  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise.

  • Drive to the associated job locations for each day’s appointment, as assigned by Crew lead/ Manager.

  • Remain on site until the crew lead/ manager clears the team to leave.

  • Clean up job sites and lower materials from off the roof after job completion.

  • Installing panels and ensuring that the electrical system is properly grounded.

  • Installing electrical wiring, including conduits, wire, and other components.

  • Installing electrical meters and other equipment used to monitor electricity usage.

  • Carry out additional duties as required by Crew lead/ Manager.

Skills/Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required.

  • Valid Driver’s license is required.

  • OSHA 30 + 10 SST is required.

  • Knowledge of solar equipment is strongly preferred.

  • At least 2 years of construction experience.

  • Physically able to lift up to 40lbs or more.

  • Required to stand or walk for long periods at a time.

  • Conduit bending.

  • Familiarity with power tools

  • Comfortable working on ladders and on roofs.

  • Comfortable working in main panels.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Good customer relation skills.

  • Attendance and Punctuality.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
