Doreen Harris

President and CEO
Doreen M. Harris is president and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), a public benefit corporation that advances innovative energy solutions to improve New York State’s economy and environment.
Ms. Harris has held public and private sector leadership roles advancing clean energy projects and engineering companies for more than 20 years. During her 10 years of public service, she has held executive, technical, and policy positions at NYSERDA, most recently as the Vice President of Large-Scale Renewables. While at NYSERDA, she has overseen the State’s nation-leading advancement of renewable resources under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and Clean Energy Standard. Ms. Harris also spearheaded the strategic development of New York’s offshore wind resource, including the execution of the State’s offshore wind master plan. She was also instrumental in advancing and implementing the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act, which will modernize the siting of large-scale renewable energy projects across New York.
Before embarking on a career in public service, Ms. Harris spent more than a decade in the energy sector, serving in management and engineering roles. She began her career at Alcoa Advanced Technologies and Optimization Technologies in engineering roles associated with consulting and project management. Prior to joining NYSERDA, she served as Project Director for Global Water Technologies, Inc., where she led a multi-year initiative to develop and commercialize energy savings and water treatment technologies.
She currently serves on the boards of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center, Alliance to Save Energy, Clean Energy States Alliance, National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium, NY CREATES, NY BEST, and is a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Leadership Council. Ms. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester
and a Master of Business Administration from the University at Albany.
Rory Christian
NY Public Service Commission
Chair
On September 30, 2021, Governor Kathy Hochul designated Commissioner Rory M. Christian as the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Commission (Commission). On June 10, 2021, Mr. Christian was appointed Commissioner, and his term runs through February 1, 2027.
Mr. Christian began his career in the energy industry with KeySpan Energy where he first served as a civil engineer before transitioning to a role engaging government agencies operating in Long Island and New York City. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating activities between KeySpan and government organizations, negotiating contracts, developing contingency plans and streamlining operations to satisfy both organizations’ operational needs. Mr. Christian then transitioned to Exelon Energy, where he developed new products targeting public sector clientele and helped facilitate the creation of multiple partnerships and alliances.
Mr. Christian then served as the Director of Energy Finance and Sustainability for the New York City Housing Authority, where he oversaw the Authority’s then $500M+ utility portfolio with the aim of reducing annual energy expenditures while achieving city, state and federally mandated greenhouse gas emissions reduction requirements. More recently, he was the Director of New York Clean Energy at Environmental Defense Fund where he provided strategy management, programming, business development and stakeholder collaboration for the Clean Energy program in NY. He oversaw a multidisciplinary team (economists, lawyers, and engineers) to design, implement, and manage legislative and policy campaigns to lower the environmental impact of electricity production. He currently teaches energy efficiency courses at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies. He also volunteers time with workforce development organizations and is a longtime supporter and former Chair of WE ACT for Environmental Justice’s (WE ACT) Board of Directors.
Mr. Christian graduated from the City College of New York’s, Grove School of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business. Mr. Christian resides in Brooklyn, New York with his family.
David Sandbank
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
Vice President Distributed Energy Resources & Transportation
In 2014 David Sandbank joined NYSERDA to run Governor Cuomo’s $1 billion NY-Sun initiative and has overseen the largest year-over-year growth of solar in New York State. David’s experience as a solar developer brought real market experience and industry perspective a true market driven private / public partnership. Since David has joined NYSERDA he focused on programmatic efficiency, lowering costs for solar developers and making solar available for all New Yorkers. As a result, New York has risen in the ranks nationally with 2018 being the strongest year yet jumping from twelve to sixth in the nation for completed capacity, while building the largest pipeline in its history at a time when national solar trends were dipping. The results have drawn more industry to focus in the state ranking New York 4th in the nation with nearly 12,000 solar jobs. In addition to building solar capacity David has assured that the solar projects are built to code and operate safely by conceptualizing and launching the NYSERDA Quality Solar Installer designation which is now being adopted across the authority for different technologies.
David has also played an integral role in working the Department of Public Service to transition to a value stack tariff providing more accurate price signals encouraging DER’s to be designed/located where it helps alleviate future infrastructure grid investment. Prior to joining NYSERDA, Sandbank worked as a solar developer, helping a start-up grow to more than one hundred employees and oversaw company operations, marketing, engineering and installation teams. In November 2013, Sandbank was elected vice-president of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association to actively work with government agencies, policy makers and utility companies to help advance the solar industry in New York.
Rohit Aggarwala

Commissioner
Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala was appointed Commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the City’s Chief Climate Officer in February 2022. Under his leadership, DEP has embraced a leadership role on both stormwater and coastal resilience, streamlined its procurement processes to be able to invest more money in infrastructure each year, and improved DEP’s water revenues by reducing accounts receivable and delivering revenues $250 million above budget in his first year. As Chief Climate Officer, he also led the development of New York City’s most recent sustainability plan, PlaNYC.
Prior to the Adams administration, Aggarwala served as the first Director of the New York City Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, where he led the creation of the first PlaNYC. He later founded the environmental grantmaking program at Bloomberg Philanthropies and served as president of the Board of Directors of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. He was part of the founding team at Sidewalk Labs—Google’s urban technology startup—and more recently was a senior urban tech fellow at the Jacobs Cornell-Technion Institute. He has co-chaired the Regional Plan Association’s Fourth Regional Plan for the New York metropolitan area and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Aggarwala holds a PhD, MBA, and BA from Columbia University and an MA from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
John O'Leary

Deputy Secretary for Energy & Environment
John O’Leary is Deputy Secretary for Energy & Environment in the Office of Governor Kathy Hochul. John oversees New York State’s portfolio of energy agencies, including the Department of Public Service, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the NY Green Bank, the New York Power Authority, the Canal Corporation, and the Long Island Power Authority. John is responsible for implementing Governor Hochul’s comprehensive energy and climate leadership strategy.
Before joining Governor Hochul’s office, John led strategy and market development for AlphaStruxure, a joint venture of The Carlyle Group and Schneider Electric focused on advanced on-site clean energy infrastructure projects.
Prior to that, John served as Senior Policy Advisor for Energy & Finance for New York State, where he worked on electric utility regulatory reform and policy innovations to accelerate clean energy deployment with increased private investment.
Justin Driscoll

President and CEO
Justin E. Driscoll is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Power Authority (NYPA), the nation's largest state-owned electric utility. He is responsible for developing and implementing the statewide utility's strategic vision and mission, and for overseeing its operations, legal and financial matters, and relationships with external stakeholders. He is also responsible for the operation of the New York State Canal System.
Justin supervises NYPA’s 16 generation facilities and 1,400 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission, as well as its role as an energy efficiency project developer and as energy supplier for its governmental customers, including New York City, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York City Housing Authority, state agencies and local governments.
Through Justin’s leadership, the Power Authority is helping the Hochul administration meet its nation-leading clean energy goals. To fully access New York’s growing renewable energy resources, he is guiding the most dramatic transformation of the state’s grid in more than four decades by implementing large-scale transmission projects, such as Smart Path, Smart Path Connect, Clean Path New York and Central East Energy Connect.
Under Justin’s leadership, NYPA also launched ConnectALL, the largest-ever investment in New York's digital infrastructure. Announced in Governor Hochul’s 2022 State of the State address, NYPA leveraged existing transmission infrastructure to bring broadband internet to communities either unserved entirely or underserved by commercial providers.
Before joining NYPA, Justin was engaged in the private practice of law and represented clients that included Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities and energy companies, in complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters.
Justin serves on several boards, including the Alliance to Save Energy, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the GridWise Alliance, EPRI, New York City’s Urban Green Council and the World Resources Institute’s Global Energy Advisory.
Justin is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Public Affairs. He received his law degree from the New York Law School and attended the New York University School of Law L.L.M. Program in trade regulation.
Matthew Ketschke
Con Edison
President
Matthew Ketschke is president of Con Edison of New York, with responsibility for the safety, construction, planning, design, and reliability of Con Edison’s energy systems serving more than 9 million New Yorkers with electricity, natural gas, and steam.
Mr. Ketschke previously served as senior vice president of Customer Energy Solutions with areas of responsibility that included energy efficiency, electric transportation, and grid modernization.
Before becoming a senior vice president, Mr. Ketschke served in a series of positions of increasing responsibility at Con Edison including vice president of Distributed Resource Integration, vice president of Manhattan Electric Operations, and vice president of Staten Island Electric Operations. He joined Con Edison in 1995.
Mr. Ketschke holds a Masters’ of Business Administration from Columbia University. He also holds a master’s degree in management and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He currently serves on the board of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and is a Rockefeller Fellow.
Noah Ginsburg

Executive Director
Noah Ginsburg joined NYSEIA as Executive Director in early 2023. In this role, he is charged with advancing the solar industry in New York through policy/advocacy, public education, member capacity-building, and strategic initiatives.
Prior to NYSEIA, Noah spent seven years as a program director at Solar One, a nonprofit organization that expands access to the benefits of clean energy to all New Yorkers through education, solar technical assistance, and workforce development. While at Solar One, Noah built a robust program and strong team that developed more than 800 solar projects, primarily on affordable housing. From 2021-2022, he also served on the board of NYSEIA and chaired the NYC Policy Committee. From 2009-2011 Noah was a Solar Ombudsman at the City University of New York, working to identify and address barriers to solar in New York City. In 2011 Noah moved to California to work as data analyst and technologist with diverse solar companies including Sungevity, Sunrun and OnGrid. While in California Noah volunteered as a Team Leader on more than 40 solar installations with GRID Alternatives, a non-profit solar installer that serves low-income homeowners, and earned his NABCEP PV installation certification in 2014. Noah holds a bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy from the CUNY Baccalaureate program/Hunter College. He is passionate about accelerating local solar adoption while expanding equitable access to the benefits of clean energy.
Joe Chavez

Deputy Director, Resilient & Efficient Buildings
Joe Chavez is the Deputy Director, Resilient & Efficient Buildings at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice where he leads the City’s efforts to drive the built environment to unprecedented decarbonization, energy efficiency and resiliency standards. He is focused on the development and implementation of buildings-related policies and programs, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to advance the City’s climate and environmental justice goals.
Joe has been working in energy and sustainability in New York City for the past 15 years, primarily focused on buildings. Prior to his role at the NYC Mayor’s Office, Joe served eight years at the New York City Department of Education where he led the Energy Management team in implementing building retrofits and upgrades in public school buildings to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions and improve the learning environment.
Carrie Meek Gallagher

Director, Long Island Office
Carrie has 25 years of experience in government leadership roles in NYS and on LI, including Incident Commander of the NYS COVID Test Site at Stony Brook, Regional Director of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation on Long Island, Chief Sustainability Officer for the Suffolk County Water Authority, Commissioner of Environment and Energy for Suffolk County, and most recently serving as Deputy Secretary for Energy & Environment in the Governor’s Office before returning back to her family on Long Island to assume leadership of the NYS Public Service Commission Long Island Office. In her current role Carrie and her regional staff provide increased regulatory oversight of LIPA and PSEGLI and ensure fair and reasonable electric rates for ratepayers, while also safeguarding access to secure, resilient, reliable, and sustainable electric, gas, water, cable and telecommunications services in the region. The office also facilitates development of the clean energy infrastructure in the region necessary to implement the NYS Climate Act. While not busy working to secure a more sustainable future for the region and state, Carrie enjoys yoga, running with gal pals, nature walks, and cocktails over sunset at West Meadow Beach.
Daniel Montante

Daniel Montante is President and co-founder of Montante Solar. A nine-year veteran of the renewable energy industry, Mr. Montante has overseen the company’s rapid growth, solidifying its position as a key player in the New York solar market. He is responsible for overseeing company operations and providing a clear strategic direction. Mr. Montante has assembled a top tier team of engineering, construction and finance professionals that have built some of the most noteworthy solar projects in New York. His strong managerial and financial modeling skills have played a large role in the company’s success.
Prior to founding Montante Solar, Mr. Montante worked at DuPont for ten years in a number of finance and business development roles. In the latter part of his tenure at DuPont, Mr. Montante was based in Shanghai as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions - Greater China. In this capacity, he managed all acquisition and divestiture activities, which entailed acquisition search, joint venture restructuring, due diligence, term sheet negotiation and deal execution. It was during this time that Mr. Montante served as a Core Team Member for DuPont’s thin film solar module venture based in Hong Kong.
Mr. Montante holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Skidmore College and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York.

Andy Frank is the Co-founder and President of Sealed, a climate tech company that provides software and solutions to contractors, enabling them to install more home weatherization and electrification projects and grow their business. Prior to Sealed, Andy was a Co-founder of Efficiency 2.0, acquired by C3 AI (NYSE: AI), an energy efficiency software company that helped utilities save energy through customer engagement software. Currently, Andy also serves on the boards of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York, the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance, and the Energy Efficiency Alliance of NJ.

Deputy Director for Sustainability Programs
Katy Burgio is the Deputy Director for NYCHA’s Sustainability Programs Team where she is focused on implementing goals outlined in the NYCHA Sustainability Agenda. Katy’s portfolio includes delivering key demonstration projects that change the urban realm at NYCHA like pneumatic waste collection at Polo Grounds Towers, micromobility charging and storage, 30 MW of solar, and stormwater resilience interventions. Katy previously oversaw the Sustainability Programs team focused on waste infrastructure, managing more than half a billion dollars to update NYCHA’s waste management equipment, changing operational procedures to accommodate sustainable infrastructure, and working with community-based organizations to further the City’s goals to divert organic material from landfill and improve soil quality and stormwater retention through on-site processing.

Bomee Jung is co-founder and CEO of Cadence OneFive Inc., a climate justice-focused public benefit corporation accelerating decarbonization of multifamily housing through innovative software.
Since 2002, she has contributed to NYC’s climate leadership through policy and programmatic innovations. At NYCHA, the largest apartment owner in the US, she developed and led implementation of the strategic sustainability plan, including a $700 million program of energy performance contracts, a $300 million electrification program, a 25-megawatt community solar program, and the city’s first new pneumatic waste collection system in 47 years. Prior to NYCHA, she designed and led the NYC climate programs of Enterprise Community Partners, a national leader in affordable housing.
Bomee holds a Master in City Planning from MIT, and serves on the board of the Institute for Market Transformation (imt.org) and credit committees of Capital For Change (capitalforchange.org) and The Community Investment Guarantee Pool (https://www.guaranteepool.org/).
Kelsey Clair

Director and Lead Transactor
Kelsey Clair is a Director and Lead Transactor on NY Green Bank’s Investment and Portfolio Management team, where she sources, structures, and executes on clean energy investments across New York State. Ms. Clair is focused on bridging the financing gap for projects that will decarbonize our economy, namely in energy storage, clean transportation, and building efficiency.
Prior to joining NY Green Bank, Ms. Clair worked as a Lead Transactor and Portfolio Manager at MUFG Bank, where she managed a billion-dollar portfolio of investments in commodity trading platforms and midstream energy companies. Her career has been focused on providing financing solutions to corporates and projects within the energy sector. Prior to MUFG, Ms. Clair worked for JPMorgan Chase investing in middle market companies across all industries.
Ms. Clair received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fordham University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. She is also an Executive Committee Member for CAIA NY where she leads educational programs in alternative investments.
Richard Yancey

Richard C. Yancey, FAIA, LEED AP, is the founding Executive Director of the Building Energy Exchange (BE-Ex), a nonprofit that accelerates the transition to healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient buildings by serving as a resource and trusted expert to the building industry. Through education, exhibits, and actionable research, BE-Ex has become a pioneering international centre of excellence dedicated to building decarbonization.
Richard has lectured and published widely; served on numerous expert panels, including the New York City Mayor’s Climate Action Plan Technical Working Group; and has been elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Prior to BE-Ex, Richard has over thirty years of experience as an award-winning architect, in Seattle and New York; and received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
Tria Case

University Executive Director of Sustainability and Energy Conservation
Tria Case has served for more than a decade as the University Executive Director of Sustainability and Energy Conservation and launched Sustainable CUNY to support the adoption of renewable energy, energy efficiency practices, innovations in clean technology and behavioral changes on CUNY’s campuses and in NYC.
In addition to working with faculty, staff and students on research and in traditional sustainability areas, Ms. Case directs the CUNY Conserves Energy Efficiency Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Program and secures and manages multi-millions in funding for O&M projects including the Sustainable Investment Revolving Loan Fund, which supports energy savings projects on CUNY campuses.
Ms. Case formed the Smart Distributed Generation (DG) Hub, with City, State, and Federal participation, in an effort to integrate storage and distributed renewable energy resources into emergency power and resiliency deployment. Her office is responsible for the NYC Solar and Storage Ombudsman program established in partnership with NYC as a result of these efforts.
Anum Chandani

Vice President of Energy Storage
Anum Chandani is the Vice President of Energy Storage at CleanCapital and oversees Energy Storage strategy, implementation & investment partnerships across the firm. Anum has 9+ years experience in the energy industry. Previously Anum worked in the structured finance group at Madison Energy Investments where she managed $110 M tax equity fund with IGS & led Tax Equity financing for solar & energy storage projects. She also led the energy storage & electric vehicle task force. Before that Anum was the Market Analysis Manager at Schlumberger where she led global market intelligence for Rig Performance Technology Product Line (Product Revenue $1B USD). Anum started her career as a field engineer on oil & gas rigs in the Middle East. Anum earned her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from National University of Science & Technology where she graduated on the dean’s list and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School.
Lauren Andersen

University Associate Provost of Careers and Industry Partnerships
Lauren Andersen is the University Associate Provost of Careers and Industry Partnerships at the City University of New York. In this role, she leads the University’s efforts to ensure postgraduate career success of CUNY students and support the recovery and growth of New York’s inclusive economy. Prior to assuming this role in July 2021, Lauren was the Executive Director of the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline (TTP), Mayor Bill de Blasio’s signature initiative to support the growth of the tech ecosystem by delivering quality talent for the city’s businesses and quality jobs for New Yorkers.
As head of the City’s tech industry partnership, she worked with the city’s leading tech employers, academic institutions, and training providers to support new and expanded education solutions and to ensure long-term alignment of workforce needs and educational opportunities through policy and partnerships. These efforts included the launch of a $24M initiative — CUNY 2x Tech — which successfully doubled the number of tech bachelors awarded across CUNY and improved the rate of employment among computer science graduates at seven senior colleges. As a part of these efforts, CUNY also launched the Tech-in-Residence Corps (TIRC), a group of industry professionals (from 60+ companies including Google, LinkedIn, Salesforce) who commit to teaching for-credit electives on in-demand technologies across 10 colleges. To date, TIRC has enrolled over 3,000 students across CUNY. Prior to working for the City of New York, Lauren served as a Policy Advisor in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy where she worked on initiatives to broaden participation in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields and served as liaison to the White House Council on Women and Girls. Her previous work experience also includes positions on the Youth Economic Opportunity team at Citi Foundation, the Obama for America campaign in Florida, and a variety of digital and broadcast media outlets. Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, and an MPA from Columbia University.
Jonathan Cohen

Jonathan Cohen, Policy Director, NYSEIA. Jonathan joined the leadership of the Long Island Solar & Storage Alliance in January 2020. He has worked in the solar industry since 2014 and currently serves as Policy Director for NYSEIA. Previously he was Government Liaison for SUNation Solar Systems, a solar provider on Long Island.
Jonathan brings 25 years of public policy advocacy experience, and has served his community as a civic leader for his entire adult life, including as an Executive Board member of the Manorville Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his career in the solar industry, Jonathan worked in the medical field for 17 years, including as District EMS Supervisor at Mastic Beach Ambulance. He resides in Manorville, NY with his wife Carolyn, daughter Emma, and son Zachary.
Roland Doorduyn

Commercial Head North America
Roland serves as Lunar Energy’s commercial head for North America. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Lunar launched a next-generation residential battery system and provides a DER and VPP software platform that is used to manage the largest fleet of ESS globally. In his role, Roland leads the commercialization of Gridshare, Lunar’s DERMS and VPP platform, through partnerships with utilities, LSEs/CCAs and aggregators.
Previously, he was with Voltus developing product partnerships in the C&I EV(SE), BESS and Smart Building spaces. At Voltus, Roland closed transactions with several hardware, software and asset owner companies and contributed to new (energy) product development for Voltus’s VPP platform.
Roland started his career at Siemens, where he had various commercial and finance roles. In his most recent position, he led the Decarbonized Energy Systems team in Latin America responsible for origination and development of clean infrastructure projects with a focus on renewables, hydrogen, battery and long duration storage.
Amy Heart

Senior Vice President of Public Policy
Amy Heart is Senior Vice President of Public Policy with Sunrun. Sunrun is the nation’s leading provider of residential solar and battery solutions. Amy leads Sunrun’s policy team, working to protect and expand access to home solar and battery solutions, and leverage these benefits to help our overall grid. Prior to joining Sunrun's policy team in 2014, Amy worked to deploy solar solutions with the City of Milwaukee and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. Amy Heart received her law degree from Marquette University Law School.
Rachel Charow
Con Edison
Section Manager
Rachel Charow is the Section Manager of the Flexible Demand group at Con Edison. She is focused on the development of a roadmap for grid flexibility and the future integration of flexible services into customer programs. Since joining Con Edison, Rachel has worked in policy and program management across a variety of roles, including demand response, low- to moderate- income (LMI) energy efficiency, and utility thermal energy networks. From 2020-2021 she co-chaired the LMI Joint Management Committee, a group of NY utilities and NYSERDA, and led the development and implementation of the State's Affordable Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program. Prior to joining Con Edison, Rachel worked in utilities consulting at Accenture on nuclear power projects, demand response programs, and energy efficiency analytics.
Rachel has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Georgetown University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. She is a Fulbright scholarship recipient, and she serves as a member of the Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee for the Department of Energy.

Adam B. Cohen, Ph.D., is leading the way to urban clean energy as the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of NineDot Energy, building community energy sites to make the NYC metro grid cleaner, more resilient, more equitable and less costly.
Projects in operation or under development that Adam has spearheaded include battery energy storage systems in the Bronx, Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island and Westchester County. Adam developed his exceptional understanding of how complex systems interact and evolve in his academic work (Ph.D. from the Chaos Group at University of Maryland and B.S. in physics from Bucknell University); he now applies his findings to the interconnected dynamics of energy markets, technologies, regulations and grid economics. Adam was a postdoctoral fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy (launching a research program applying social and behavioral science to scale up solar energy adoption) where Adam met his NineDot Energy co-founders. Adam is passionate about opportunities to modernize the urban electric system in a way that benefits all stakeholders. Brian was most recently Director for East Performance Cell at SunPower Corporation. In this role, Brian led a team of Project Managers engaged in the execution of a wide range of commercial solar project types. During his tenure at SunPower, Brian also directly managed the carport design and procurement teams. Prior to SunPower, Brian directed Design and Construction at Solaire Generation, a carport design/build company that was acquired by SunPower in 2015. Brian is a licensed architect and, prior to joining Solaire, worked as a Commercial Architect in NYC for 12 years. Brian is a LEED AP certified designer, a member of the US Green Buildings Council and an alumnus of the Rocky Mountain Institute. He is an active participant of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association, successfully shaping public policy in ConEd territory. Rob previously served as Policy Director at Sustainable South Bronx, where he supervised a team advancing clean energy, land use planning, and workforce development initiatives. She received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford, and her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.

Summer Sandoval is Senior Advisor, Environmental Justice & Clean Energy at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice. In this role, Summer collaborates with public, private, and community partners to center equity in the transition away from fossil fuels through solar and energy storage policies and programs. Summer has experience working on energy justice issues in New York City including developing community-owned solar projects, helping pass and implement climate laws, and creating models to ensure clean energy investments directly benefit historically marginalized and environmental justice communities.
Michael Yee

Director of the Educational and Cultural Trust Fund
Michael Yee is the Director of the Educational and Cultural Trust Fund of the Electrical Industry (E&C). In that role, he administers this collectively bargained trust fund that provides education benefits for the industry’s 28,000 IBEW-Local 3 workforce. Michael works with a team of 200 instructors and administrative staff to implement courses that enhance the technical skills of Local 3 members – utilizing over 200,000 square feet of space in the fund’s three facilities to expedite E&C’s continuing education mission. The fund provides various other educational and cultural programs that benefit those members and their families, including college tuition reimbursement for the member and spouse, college scholarships and summer camping for member’s children, as well as musical and theatrical performances. Michael is a 38-year member of Local 3, serving in various leadership capacities during that time, most notably as Local 3’s elected Treasurer for 5 terms (2006-2020). Prior to his current position in E&C (2007-present), he was an electrician for over 20 years (1986-2007) at a 16-megawatt co-gen facility in Brooklyn, New York, that provided electricity, hot water, and heat/cooling for 5,000 apartments. Over the course of his career Michael has participated in numerous educational programs to enhance his technical and leadership skills and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Empire State University - SUNY.

Robert Parker is Crux's Chief Commercial Officer, where he is responsible for all aspects of business development. Most recently before Crux, Robert served as Chief Financial Officer of Rev Renewables, LLC, an LS Power portfolio company, where he worked from 2021 until 2023. From 2013 to 2020, Robert held several roles at Alphabet Inc., most recently as Principal, Energy Strategy for Google’s Energy & Location Strategy team, where he was responsible for developing several novel 100% renewable and 24/7 carbon free energy procurement structures. Prior to that role, Robert was a Renewable Energy Investment Principal in Google’s Treasury office, where he worked on Google's tax equity investments. Prior to Google, Robert served as a Senior Vice President at LS Power’s Private Equity business, from 2005 to 2011. Robert has also had roles at AES Clean Energy and Credit Suisse. Robert holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

A nineteen-year veteran of the solar industry, Barrett has helped clients in the residential, commercial, and utility scale sectors of the industry employ multiple megawatts of solar energy.
He founded Silver Lining Solar in 2015 to focus on the needs of local businesses and nonprofits so that they could fully realize the benefits of solar technology for their bottom lines and their communities. Barrett sold his company in 2021 to lead the sales team at 174 Power Global which was subsequently acquired by Qcells. He is now the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Accord Power in New York City.
Barrett has helped commercial solar clients as diverse as Regeneron, The Tarrytown Music Hall, The Jacob Burns Media Lab, among many others, and has worked for the solar industry’s leading panel and racking manufacturers. He graduated cum laude from Duke University and holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Brown University. He enjoys swimming, playing the tenor sax, piano, and cello, and lives in Chappaqua, New York in a home that makes its own solar domestic hot water and uses geothermal energy for heating and cooling.
Ben Cuozzo

Ben Cuozzo is a specialist in solar PV and distributed generation technologies. At NYPA, he works in developing renewable energy projects and programs for its customers. His principal responsibilities include preparing project economic forecasts, project scoping and system design, and, during the pre-development phase, researching and investigating the factors that may impact project success. He acts as a customer-facing point of contact for these projects as they move from conception to completion. Mr. Cuozzo also works with NYPA’s policy and regulatory affairs team on creating programs that enable greater, more efficient and more economical adoption of DERs (distributed energy resources) by our customer base.
Currently, Mr. Cuozzo is managing the implementation of over 100MW of distributed solar PV projects with numerous State and local government entities throughout New York.
Prior to joining NYPA in 2017, Mr. Cuozzo worked with both for-profit and non-profit development companies.

Reid Garton is the President & CEO of NY State Solar, and a proud member of NYSEIA's board of directors, where he currently serves as the organization's VP of Residential Solar. NY State Solar is a solar developer that specializes in the sale, design, and installation of customized residential and commercial photovoltaic systems. NY State Solar has over 225 employees across eight locations in New York City, Long Island and New Jersey.
Through his work with NYSEIA, Reid's extensive experience within the solar industry works to advance further adoption of green technology on both local and regional scales. Reid's knowledge of the renewable energy sector regularly helps educate those outside the industry on the long-term financial and environmental benefits of choosing eco-friendly energy options for New York State.
Before joining NY State Solar, Reid served as the founder of a series of successful telecom and internet service companies. Reid is actively involved in several real estate businesses.

Joe Nathan White, Jr. was born in Long Island, New York but raised in Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in 1998.
After graduation, he spent 14 years (1999 – 2013) at Southern Company’s power utility subsidiaries in Alabama Power, Savannah Electric, Mississippi Power, and Georgia Power Companies in electric transmission line design, transmission line maintenance, distribution field operations, distribution standards, Assistant to the General Manager, and integrated resource policy and planning.
Joe returned to New York in 2013 joining Orange and Rockland as a Principal Engineer in the Reliability Department analyzing outage data, customer complaints, and commission inquiries.
Joe was selected as the Section Manager – Technology Engineering in October 2014 with the responsibility of managing Distribution Grid Modernization Implementation Plans, Power Quality and grid protection as well as the approval of distributed generation (DG) interconnections for New York and New Jersey. By Commission Order, Joe was added the title of the company’s first Distributed Generation (DG) Ombudsman in 2016.
Joe joined Con Edison as their DG Ombudsman in December 2018 and continues his work with the New York Department of Public Service and New York State’s Energy Research and Development Authority recommending changes to the New York Standard Interconnection Requirements (SIR).

Amanda leads Bright Power's Policy and Programs Team, which pairs compliance requirements with incentive and financing opportunities to help decarbonize the multifamily sector. She leads the company’s LL97 strategy, developing new services and working one-on-one with real estate clients to help them prepare for successful compliance. Amanda also advocates on behalf of their interests to regulators and legislators on the local, state, and federal level, participating in DOB working groups and the Regulatory Committee of the NY Energy Consumers Council.
Shakira Hart

Shakira Hart works across Solar One programs to build relationships with employers in the clean energy sector with the goal of ensuring that trainees from Solar One’s workforce programs and high school career and technical education programs have access to career pathways in the growing clean energy industry. The Director builds on existing employer relationships with clean energy businesses and develops new employer partnerships and supports clean energy businesses to access state wage subsidies for on the job training.
Shakira is a recent graduate from CORO- Workforce Systems Leadership Program. CORO is an intensive professional development program that brings together workforce professionals from across NYC addressing Workforce Systemic barriers and change.
She also serves as Co-Chair of the Green Economy Network. The Green Economy Network is a collaborative that establishes effective practices and aligns current systems to create green jobs and career paths with priority on access and sustainability.
