Event Description
Have a property that can be beneficially repurposed? Why not solar? National Grid wants to partner with you for renewable energy development throughout its territory to ensure a better, more sustainable future for its communities and customers. Let's make deals!
National Grid is seeking property owners for renewable energy development to meet its “Northeast 80 x 50 Pathway” goals and the mandates of the recently enacted Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), NYS’s Climate Bill. This new State legislation centers on eliminating harmful greenhouse gases by requiring 100% of our electricity to come from carbon-free sources by 2040. We each have a role in helping to meet this challenge and demonstrate environmental leadership that will benefit generations to come.
This free, interactive workshop - brought to you by National Grid, NY Solar Energy Industries Association, NYS Energy Research and Development Authority, and the Center for Creative Land Recycling - accommodates stakeholders with different backgrounds, levels of knowledge and preparedness to implement renewable energy projects. Attendees will leave with critical information and public and private sector contacts to assist in evaluating the feasibility of new projects and expedite those already in the pipeline successfully to the next stage.
