Western New York is an economic powerhouse and regional hub for advanced manufacturing. Built on a foundation of affordable hydropower and a strong network of suppliers, fabricators, and a skilled workforce, the Buffalo-Niagara region is poised for growth and investment as the United States continues to reshore manufacturing and seeks to dominate strategic technology sectors. However, as power demand rises and New York’s energy infrastructure ages, building out 21st century energy infrastructure will be critical to relieving upward pressure on prices and overcoming supply constraints.
